Community Champion Award

Enrolling into ESI Monitor’s Community Champion Award scheme is a simple and effective way for businesses to demonstrate their commitment, and the contribution they make, to the community they operate in.

The aim of the award is to commend businesses that contribute the most to their local community and to encourage other businesses to attain higher standards. Major adoption will see a significant increase in community-based contributions from organisations across all sectors, making a meaningful difference to the welfare of local persons.

Accredited businesses are listed in our directory as having surpassed our threshold and will be given access to private data, as shown in the table below. This data is provided quarterly for individual businesses to judge their performance and make choices about future contributions. If required, the data can be used by a business to provide relevant parties with verification of their contribution to the community.

Environmental Business Operations Award

ESI Monitor’s Environmental Business Operations Award is structured as an environmental management system that allows businesses of any sector or size to measure, manage, minimise, and continually improve its operational environmental footprint.

Achieving the Environmental Business Operations Award demonstrates to customers, staff, and business partners that the organisation:

  •  is transitioning to a sustainable future through Sustainable Development Goals 7, 9, 11, 12 & 13;
  •  is committed to reducing its impact on the planet;
  •  actively plans its energy conservation, waste management, and procurement strategy;
  •  raises staff awareness of the importance of environmental issues;
  •  seeks improved ways of managing the organisation’s energy and waste.

The process is broken down into three ‘self-assessment toolkits’ and one final assessment.
