We are delighted to announce that ESI Monitor has been shortlisted for the prestigious People. Environment. Achievement (P.E.A.) awards, in the Digital Technology category. The award recognises digital revolutionaries that are finding new ways to reduce environmental impact through emerging technologies. The winner will be announced later this month.
Using digital expertise, ESI Monitor developed an environmental standard for businesses, that guides them through the process of measuring, minimising, managing, and benchmarking their environmental performance and sustainability. ESI Monitor also developed a unique carbon offsetting scheme, Carbon Offset +, which offsets users’ emissions through certified international environmental projects, while also contributing to restorative biodiversity projects local to the point of pollution. The company currently has four full-time members of staff based in Guernsey, London, and Brisbane.
Fred Betley, a senior consultant at ESI Monitor who specialises in global sustainable development said “we are very proud of the impact we are having in Guernsey and internationally with customers across many countries. Our clients are seeking to reduce their operational environmental impact far in advance of any regulatory requirements and are in the vanguard of sustainable business.”
Founder of ESI Monitor Marc Laine, paid tribute to the dedication of the team and stated that “Guernsey has a unique opportunity to protect and grow its economy through sustainable business and green finance, but to make this dream a reality we must have businesses in Guernsey that have recognised sustainable accreditation. At ESI Monitor we are confident that due to the small size of Guernsey we can accredit the industry and show a green supply chain internationally showing why we deserve the title of a green finance centre”.
